A little anecdote about how Ms. Fortune’s design changed from her previous look:
When I started working on Skullgirls, I kept forgetting that Ms. Fortune was one of the cast because I didn’t think much of her (which prompted Alex drawing this whiteboard picture). When it came time to brainstorm moves for Fortune, I drew her with a bob cut because it looked cuter. Alex liked the look of that and then further redesigned Fortune, creating how she looks now.
One potential design that almost made it was Ms. Fortune always wearing the trenchcoat, just with slits for the legs and her beltbags on top of it. It wouldn’t showcase her abilities as well as her final design, but I really wanted to see it.
If it didn’t take the same amount of work as making a new character, it’d be really cool to see the Trenchcoat Fortune as an alternate outfit.

Finally got around to finishing this pic. Lost motivation to work on it halfway through the week and finally decided to just polish it off and post it.
Pretty okay with the final product.
